Human flesh is abstracted to the point where it is indeterminable which part of the body is present or whether there are one or multiple bodies. These shots fade in and out of digitally processed and collaged footage of exterior urban moments. This play promotes an idea of the skin as a permeable membrane that absorbs and contains the experiences and sensations a body encounters as it moves through space. The original footage for the abstract images was recorded via iPhone. When these spontaneous videos are processed with 3D imaging software to imbue them with a sense of tactility, it creates a loop between physical information captured with a digital camera that is then returned to a kind of augmented or abstracted physicality.
